What are the responsibilities of the Australian Apprentice?

Apprentices also have responsibilities under the Training Contract.

Apprentices must:

• acquire the skills of the vocation

• attend scheduled training in the qualification delivered by the RTO

• complete assignments and other assessment tasks set by the RTO

• accept any lawful instruction given by their employer or supervisor

• comply with the terms of the training agreement or industrial arrangement (eg use the tool allowance to purchase tools)

• purchase tools or materials as required by the apprenticeship.
