Applicants undergo assessment to ensure they
have the commitment and aptitude to do the job applied for. Successful
applicants are employed and registered as apprentices/trainees with
WSROC Group Apprentices (WSROC GA).
Applicants who successfully gain a position are
required to sign an Apprenticeship/Traineeship Training Contract
and all the other employment related documents required by WSROC
GA (the legal employer).
WSROC pay all wage and employment related costs
such as Superannuation, Annual Leave and Sick Leave and provide
access to Workers Compensation.
AUSTRALIAN APPRENTICE RIGHTS
Rights under the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001.
Australian Apprentices Rights:
• Access to full range of work;
• Access to tools & equipment;
• Instruction and supervision in the workplace from a person
with the relevant competencies;
• Payment for work in accordance with the industrial award;
• A healthy and safe working environment;
• A Workplace free from any form of harassment.
Australian Apprentice Responsibilities:
• Must make all reasonable efforts to acquire
the skills of the vocation;
• Accept instruction & training in the vocation given
by the Host in the workplace;
• Obtain the appropriate qualification as per the training
plan;
• Be mindful of obligations as an employee;
• Accept instruction and training in the vocation given by
the employer in the workplace;
• Attend scheduled training in the qualification delivered
by the RTO;
• Complete assignments and assessment tasks set by the RTO;
• Maintaining the competency record book or work evidence
guide;
• Complete the relevant qualifications provided in accordance
with the training plan & delivered by the Registered Training
Organisation;
